LO1: Examples of real magazines

1. I like the composition of the double page spreads, they use distinct colours and leading lines to draw the eye to the titles and the most relevant content on the page. The colour schemes of the front covers where also appealing to me as they use warm colours to draw the eye to the most important information so that it gets read first; This helps categorize the information in terms of important which stops the front page from feeling cluttered, despite being rich with information. Furthermore, I like the format of printing a large piece of art across the whole double page and then including a small breakdown on inspiration behind the artwork with a small portrait of the artist. You could also include a breakdown on how the art was made
2.
A common theme is having a big piece of art work with a small breakdown from the artist of how the art was created. Also there is a common theme of including characters on the front page which draws in the reader because they are naturally more interested in human faces, this is something I will include for my magazine. The style is in a cartoon style which will appeal to the intended audience of aspiring 3D artist.

3. These magazines will influence the design of my magazine with the double page spread including a large piece of artwork made of 3D software. I can include a description of the design process including progress screenshots.
I will also use the idea of using warm house colours for the front cover because that appeals to the audience.
